Dog Adoptions/Surrenders

CHS does not have a Shelter. All our puppies/dogs are in foster homes to maximize adoptability and compatibility.

Dog adoptions are held most Saturdays on-site at the Woodstock PetSmart, 142 Woodstock Square Ave., Woodstock, GA 30189 from 11 AM to 3 PM. Applications are also available online.

All of our “adoptable” dogs are kept in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. However, if you are willing to work with Cherokee Humane Society and be a foster for your own dog, we will assist you in placement. It is helpful, if your dog is current on its vaccinations and is already spayed/neutered. If not, then we will work with you in this effort. Visit CHS Adoptions page for information.

If you want to surrender a dog immediately, then please call your local animal shelter. Almost every county has its own shelter.
